Dashboard

The Dashboard area in LACES has a variety of widgets for finding data. Dashboard widgets may be selected from the Widget Library and are grouped by the following categories:

Assessments

Enrollment

Staff Alerts

Student Alerts

Click on the Widget Library link, expand the category of the desired widget, and click on the widget you wish to use. The widget will load on the page and populate data.  Dashboards have drill-down capabilities so you may drill down to the student or staff records populated by the dashboard widgets, whether the dashboard returns a bar graph or a number.

A maximum of 18 total widgets and/or a maximum of 4 of the same widget are allowed on the dashboard at one time.  A message will display if those limits are exceeded.

Selecting Dashboards

When you leave the dashboard area, the current widgets are saved and will display when you select the Dashboard area again.  Be aware that data can change over time, so selected dashboard widgets may have to reload to get up-to-date numbers when you return to the dashboard area.

Student related dashboards are designed to run on current FY data - regardless of the selection on the student grid - based on the FY setting for your client or independent literacy agency.  This means that if your client or agency is set for the current FY, the dashboard will only return students who meet the dashboard criteria in the current FY.   Select Agency Settings from your Profile menu, then select the Detail panel to see the CurrentFY setting for your agency.

The Staff Alerts dashboard runs on all staff records regardless of the selection on the staff grid.

NOTE: Access to Agency Settings is determined by your user role. If you do not see Agency Settings on your profile menu, you do not have permission to access Agency Settings.

Clearing Dashboard Widgets

If you wish to remove of all your selected widgets, click on the "Remove All Widgets" button on the top of the page at the Dashboard area.

You may also clear all of your selected Dashboard widgets by selecting "Profile" from the person profile icon drop-down menu and then clicking the "Remove All Dashboard Widgets" button at the top right corner of the window.
