User Account Management

Account Management

User accounts may be created for persons who are allowed access to your database. User accounts are assigned a role that has a collection of permissions. Permissions determine what a user can do, such as read data (view) or read/write data (view, create, edit, delete).

If you have permission to create and manage user accounts in the LACES database, it is important to understand how the roles work, and how combining certain roles may result in a user having access you did not intend.

More information about roles, and the instructions for adding and managing user accounts may be found on the User News page under Common Processes: Account Management
