MAPT Integration

MAPT Integration

Students who are eligible to be assessed are sent from LACES to OWL.

Students sent to OWL must have:

1. A current fiscal year enrollment, OR

2. An existing MAPT-CCR assessment in the student record, whether enrolled or not. (Beginning in the 19/20 FY, only enrolled students will be sent to OWL.)

3. Last Name, First Name, Birthdate, and Sex.

Students sign into OWL with their SMARTT ID and take the MAPT-CCR assessment. The assessment scores are then sent back to LACES and added to the student record.

Site

Site must be selected in the class or pair record. When students are enrolled in a class, or matched in a pair, a LACES ID (MAPT) number will populate in the enrollment record. If Site was NOT entered in the class or pair record, the student enrollment will not display a valid LACE ID (MAPT) number.

Students who have an invalid ID in the current FY will not be sent to OWL.

1. The LACES ID (MAPT) number for students who were migrated from SMARTT is a combination of the site ID and the SMARTT person ID. The Person ID part of the LACES ID (MAPT) number will not change for these students.

For example:

  • Student migrates from SMARTT with the SMARTT ID of 2809-503651. 2809 represents the site, and 503651 represents the SMARTT Person ID.

  • The student's LACES person ID is 1151802.

  • This student will always have 503651 in the Person ID part of the LACES ID (MAPT) number.

  • The site ID part of the LACES ID (MAPT) number may be different, depending on the site entered in the student's class enrollment.

2. The LACES ID (MAPT) for new students entered into LACES post migration is a combination of the site ID and the LACES person ID. The LACES Person ID begins in the million range.

The SMARTT person ID is NOT the LACES person ID. The LACES person ID may be found at the All Person area by opening the person record, or adding Person ID to the view.

3. The LACES ID (MAPT) displays on the student Enrollments grid. In the class record/Enrollment tab, select the view Enrollment Info with IDs to see the LACES ID (MAPT) number.

Additional Information

1. The MAPT assessment was used prior to 6/30/2018. After 6/30/2018, the MAPT-CCR assessment is used.

2. Data in LACES and OWL is synced twice daily:

  • Students enrolled in LACES classes (with sites) by 3:50 pm will appear in OWL after 4:35 pm.

  • Scores for MAPT exams done in OWL by 4:15 pm will appear in LACES after 5:20 pm.

3. The subsequent sync for both student enrollment and MAPT-CCR scores takes place between 3:00 and 5:00 am.

4. Students with valid LACES ID (MAPT) numbers and a current fiscal year enrollment are sent to OWL, and may sign into OWL using any of the valid ID numbers. Students cannot sign into OWL using the ID that begins with 0 or 1.

    • 0- represents a pair enrollment without a site selected in the pair.

    • 1- represents a class enrollment without a site selected in the class.

5. The MAPT-CCR test results are sent back to LACES and populate in the student record and display on the assessment grid.

6. The associated active site record must have the current or previous fiscal year setting in order to be sent to OWL. As part of the rollover process, the Fiscal Year in active site records will be updated to the current fiscal year.

IMPORTANT NOTES:

    • Because the MAPT-CCR scores are populated via the integration, the MAPT assessments cannot be manually entered by the user and do not display on the drop down list of assessments.

  • The MAPT-CCR assessment records cannot be edited or deleted.

MAPT REPORTS

MAPT Math and Reading reports are available at the student and class area. These reports display additional information sent with each MAPT assessment, such as benchmarks and number of questions answered correctly or incorrectly. This information is cleared on a rolling schedule and does not display in the MAPT reports indefinitely. For example, the benchmarks display on the reports from today's date to the previous 365 days. Once the date "rolls" forward, the benchmarks are cleared and no longer display on the reports.
