Assessment Rules
Assessment Override
An assessment override rule has been added to prevent a post test from being added for students with less than the required number of instructional hours UNLESS the user selects an override reason.
THIS ONLY APPLIES TO ASSESSMENTS ENTERED BY THE USER. THIS DOES NOT APPLY TO THE MAPT-CCR ASSESSMENTS AUTOMATICALLY ENTERED VIA THE INTEGRATION.
1. The rule will block a post test for a corrections student with less than 40 instruction hours. This rule does not apply to a pretest.
A corrections student is defined as:
A student with any selection that contains 'Yes' in the Demographics tab/Demographics panel 'Correctional' field.
Yes
Yes - Community
Yes - County
Yes - State
Yes - Federal
2. The rule will block a post test for a non-corrections student with less than 65 instruction hours. This rule does not apply to a pretest.
A non-corrections student is defined as
A student with 'No Value Entered' or 'No' selected in the Demographics tab/Demographics panel field 'Correctional.'
3. An override reason may be selected to allow the post test to be entered. Override reasons are:
Class Ending
Completed ELP
Exiting with evidence of readiness
Exiting for personal reasons
Late starting classes
Late starting student
Transfer to IET/IELCE
Workflows that demonstrate how the rule works:
Workflow 1:
Non-corrections student is pre tested.
Student has >= 65 instruction hours.
A post test can be entered without triggering the override rule.
Workflow 2:
Corrections student is pre tested.
Student has >=40 instruction hours.
A post test can be entered without triggering the override rule.
Workflow 3:
Non-corrections student is pre tested.
Student has <65 instruction hours since last assessment.
A post test is blocked by the rule.
The assessment card would display:
The user can either cancel, or select an override reason from the list of reasons:
Class ending
Completed ELP
Exiting with evidence of readiness
Exiting for personal reasons
Late starting classes
Late starting student
Transfer to IET/IELCE
Once an override reason has been selected, the post test can be saved.
Workflow 4:
Corrections student is pre tested.
Student has <40 instruction hours since last assessment.
A post test is blocked by the rule.
The assessment card would display:
The user can either cancel, or select an override reason from the list of reasons:
Class ending

Alternating Assessment Forms that Don't Level Down
Rule 1:
Alternate forms must be used when assessing with TABE or TABE Clas-E within a fiscal year.
Rule 2:
TABE and TABE Clas-E assessment cannot level down
The TABE levels are as follows:
A = Advanced
D = Difficult
M = Moderate
E = Easy
L = Literacy
The posttest must be not only an alternating form, but the level must be the same or higher in difficulty; the posttest cannot ‘level down.’
The table only shows the Reading subtest for TABE 11 and 12, but the pattern is the same for Language and Math.
The TABE Clas-E levels are as follows:
1 Beginning ESL
2 Beginning ESL
3 Intermediate ESL
4 Advanced ESL
The posttest must be not only an alternating form, but the level must be the same or higher in difficulty; the posttest cannot ‘level down.’
The table only shows the Reading subtest for TABE Clas-E A and B, but the pattern would be the same for Writing.
Dashboards
The assessment dashboards return student based on the number of hours required between assessments, including students with only integrated MAPT-CCR assessments.
1. Post Test Eligible by EFL
2. Post Test Eligible by EFL Within [X] Instructional Hours
3. Student Alerts/ Students eligible for post testing.
4. Student Alerts/ Students eligible for post testing with no MSG in current PoP.
