The Lake Hamilton High School Marching Band is the reigning Arkansas 6A State Marching Champion!

The Lake Hamilton Winter Winds are the 2019 Silver Medalists and the 2018 World Champion at Winter Guard International; as well as, the "Fan Favorite" winner the past four years!

The Power Band competes annually at the Bands of America National Championships in Indianapolis, where they consistantly earn superior ratings in musical and visual analysis.

Why should my child do this?

Students with band experience attend college at a rate twice the national average.

Lewis Thomas, found that music majors comprise the highest percentage of accepted medical students at 66%.

Better SAT scores: students who have experience with music performance or appreciation score higher on the SAT. One report indicates 63 points higher on verbal and 44 points higher on math for students in music apprecitation courses.

Preparation for the creative economy: Investing in creative education can prepare students for the 21st century workforce. The new economy has created more artistic careers, and these jobs may grow faster than others in the future.
