Every month, each instructor chooses one art student to be showcased on this website.
These talented artists have displayed dedication and determination on their recent works of art, and should be commended on their efforts!
APRIL ARTISTS
Emma Mulhall Grade 11
Emma is a student in Mrs. Schaefer's oil painting class. She has been cranking out paintings like crazy, and is so inspired to push herself to make each assignment the best she possibly can. Emma is a hard working student who has strong motivation and a willingness to take risks and try new things. She enjoys spending time with her dogs Max and Mia. She really enjoys creating art, and outside of school directs plays with young students who have a love for theater and acting.
Great job Emma! We're all proud of you!
Kaylie Petersen Grade 11
Kaylie is a student in Mr. Greeninger's Ceramics course and has earned the honor of being selected April Artist of the Month for Mr. Greeninger. Kaylie is the type of student who puts in tons of time outside her class time. Many of Kaylie's project ideas are well thought out and very creative. There is never a doubt on her quality of craftsmanship and Kaylie always take pride in that.
Kaylie's main goal is to do her absolute best not only on her Ceramic projects, but in school. Kaylie is that type of person who will do anything for her friends and is a great kid! Kaylie would like to pursue medical school after attending the University of La Crosse

Danielle Tetzlaff Grade 12
Danielle is currently a member of Mrs. Wise's Senior Art class. She was selected as an April Artist of the Month because of her dedication to developing herself as an artist. Danielle has always enjoyed her Art classes and she pays great attention to detail in her work. She is very patient and puts in extra time and effort to be sure she creates work she can be proud of! During high school, Danielle played soccer and spent time volunteering to help both people and animals.
Danielle plans to study Pre-Law at St. Norbert's College in the fall and we wish her the very best in her future.

MARCH ARTISTS
Gracie Lehman Grade 9
Gracie has done something unusual as a Freshman. Gracie has taken the base course of 3D Art her first semester and is now in the advance course of Ceramics the second semester. This rarely happens as a freshman to take both courses. With that being said, you can see by her Ceramic projects below that Garcie has the talent to go with a solid work ethic.
Here is what Gracie has to say. "I love being in Ceramics class with all the projects I have done and have had so much fun. I hope to continue to grow in my artistic abilities. When I am not in class I enjoy riding horses and spending time with my friends."

Anna Armstrong Grade 11
Anna is a very strong student in 2D Art. She has a very strong work ethic, and a natural ability to be a leader. She often inspires students around her with choosing subject matter that challenges her, and she goes above and beyond to finish the final details to the best of her ability. She will kindly help other students without being asked to do so, and she is always upbeat and positive.
Currently Anna is working to figure out what she hopes to do for the future. She is leaning towards a business/marketing degree, but is not totally sure yet. She loves doing artwork at school and during her free time, and her favorite medium is drawing. She also enjoys running, and competitive curling.
Way to go Anna! We're all very proud of you and your awesome artwork!
Jarrett Simms Grade 12
Jarrett is currently a member of Mrs. Wise's Senior Art class and has taken Intro to Art and 3D Art as well . He has been chosen as a March Artist of the Month because of how focused he is on creating high quality artwork. He has great original ideas and puts forth extra time and energy to make strong pieces
Jarrett loves spending time outdoors as much as possible. He enjoys fishing, camping, and participating in sports. He will be attending UW- Stevens Point in the fall.

FEBRUARY ARTISTS
Carissa Clifford Grade 12
Carissa is currently in Mrs. Schaefer's Senior Art class. She works so hard on each project, and finds a way to make them have deep meaning and a personal connection. Her artwork is always done with a very high technical skill level. She is a dedicated art student, and spends a lot of time outside of class working on her pieces. She treats everyone with such kindness and respect, and is an all around awesome person! After high school she plans to be a part of the Marine Corps. Keep up the great work Carissa! We are very proud of you in the art department!

Johannah Krause Grade 12
Johannah is a student in Mr. Greeninger's Ceramics course and is his choice for Artist of the Month for February. Johannah or Jojo as her friends like to call her is a very hard working art student. Jojo spends her block off as well as some lunch periods working on her ceramic projects. Jojo's plans are to attend UW-Fox Valley next year and study to be an elementary teacher. It is impressive that Jojo currently has two jobs and still find time to maintain strong grades at Kimberly High School. Some of her interests include cooking, drawing, and of course CERAMICS! The Art Department is very proud of the work Jojo has been doing. Below you will see a pitcher she created and a Negative Space project she is currently working on. Awesome Job Jojo! Jaden Rottier Grade 12
Jaden is currently doing an Independent Study in Drawing and Painting with Mrs. Wise. She also had Intro to Art with Mrs. Wise, as a Freshman. She is one of our February Artists of the Month because of her strong artistic skills and her dedication to developing herself as an artist. Jaden is a hard worker with a great, positive attitude!
She is interested in all forms of art, but she especially enjoys drawing.
Jaden is very dedicated to her future goals in the medical field. She coordinates in-school blood drives, teaches CPR to middle-schoolers, does elementary school vision screenings, is working to become a CNA, and will study to become a Nurse Anesthesiologist after graduation. Jaden loves theatre and is active as a performer with KHS Theatre. She loves to travel- especially to visit her friends in Tennessee, where she recently resided during part of her high school career.

JANUARY ARTISTS
Emma Pott Grade 12
Emma is a student in Mrs. Schaefer's Senior Art course. She was also my classroom volunteer first semester. She is a remarkable young lady with an impressive work ethic, and a positive attitude. She is not afraid of a challenge, and truly takes every opportunity in class as an opportunity to learn something new, challenge herself, and push herself to do the best she can. She chooses original meaningful photos to work from, and it's clear she takes pride in what she does.
Emma is interested in traveling and loves to spend time outside. Her hobbies include reading, working out, art, and being on the lake. Her personal goals are to attend UW-Madison next year, and become a social worker!

Kadie McClintock Grade 12
Kadie is a student in Mr. Greeninger's Ceramic course. Kadie has done an outstanding job with her Ceramic projects this year. Kadie was awarded an Honorable Mention for her plate she did in Ceramics titled The Marauder Print (see below). This project was selected by the Scholastic Art Show at the Milwaukee Art Institute. The details and outstanding craftsmanship really set this project apart from others.
Kadie is also our secretary of the Art Club. She loves to write stories and reads all the time. The Art Department is very proud to say that Kadie has a passion for the Arts, so much so, she wants to become an Art teacher.
The Art Department is very happy for Kadie in her success and wish her success in her future. Congrats!
Uzma Khan Grade 12
Uzma had Senior Art with Mrs. Wise last semester and she was selected as a January Artist of the Month because of her dedication to developing herself as an artist. Uzma puts a lot of time and energy into her artwork and pays great attention to detail. She is very patient and puts in extra time and effort to be sure she creates work she can be proud of!
Uzma loves to read- especially mysteries and books about time travel.
She often spends her free time creating art at home and spending time with her family. Uzma's family is very important to her!
Uzma is a very strong student and she plans to pursue a Bachelor's degree in Business after she graduates this spring. She hopes to travel a lot and explore our world throughout her future career.

DECEMBER ARTISTS
Madison Moore Grade 12
Madison is currently a member of Mrs. Wise's Senior Art class. She has been chosen as a December Artist of the Month because of her attention to detail and her work ethic in creating top-level pieces. Madison has a wonderful "can do" attitude and produces beautiful pieces in every art medium we try! This is the first art class she has taken in high school and she is really enjoying it! Madison plans to create art as a hobby throughout her life.
Besides loving art, Madison enjoys being a part of the KHS Cross Country team and playing CYO Basketball with her friends. She loves her two dogs, Archer and Griffin and plans to attend UW-Madison in the fall, where she will pursue a degree in Electrical Engineering. Madison hopes to find a career in the Clean Energy field.

Lily Dozer Grade 11
Lily was chosen by Mrs. Schaefer for artist of the month in December. Lily was in 2D Art 1st semester, and is currently in Oil Painting. She is a motivated person all around. Always a smile on her face, always a great attitude, and always kind and genuine to others. She is very interested in art and has challenged herself to grow and learn as much as she can since taking her first high school art class last year. Lily loves art and fashion, and loves to sew and maker clothes! She enjoys spending time with her friends, loves DECA, and loves to dance at Footworks. It's clear that Lily is a very ambitious individual, and she sets personal goals to work to be the best version of herself she can be. She loves to grow and strive to push herself to be her very best every day. We are so proud of you Lily! Keep reaching for the stars!
NOVEMBER ARTISTS
Cydnee VanZeeland Grade 12
Cydnee was chosen by Mrs. Schaefer for Artist of the Month of November. She is a very intrinsically motivated individual and challenges herself greatly on each project she completes. She has an outstanding attitude and a very strong work ethic. She is very kind, accepting, and understanding; and is a wonderful person and leader to all of those she interacts with. Cydnee is an involved student in and out of school, and has a lot of interests and goals that keep her involved and focused on her future. Cydnee loves science classes like AP Environmental Science. So far she said senior art has been her favorite art class because she gets to do a little bit of everything. She also loves to run, and is a part of cross country and track. Cydnee also likes to scrapbook, play with her dogs, and enjoys a variety of outdoor activities. Her future goal is to work with animals, possibly at a wildlife rehabilitation facility. Next year she will be studying at the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities. She plans to major in Fisheries, Wildlife, and Conservation Biology. Keep up the fantastic work Cydnee. We are so proud of you!
Lauren Kelly Grade 12
Lauren is currently a member of Mrs. Wise's Senior Art class. She also took Intro to Art and was an active member of the KHS Art Club. She was selected as a November Artist of the Month because of her dedication to developing herself as an artist. Lauren has enjoyed Art since she was young and pays great attention to detail in her work. She is very patient and puts in extra time and effort to be sure she creates work she can be proud of! Lauren is a very accomplished trombone player who not only performs with both the KHS Band and Polka Band, but also the Fox Valley Youth Orchestra. She loves learning languages such as Spanish and Latin and enjoys reading, literary analysis, and writing.
Lauren plans to attend Lawrence University, where she will study English.

October ARTISTS
Kali Frye Grade 12
Kali is currently a member of Mrs. Schaefer's Senior Art class. She's a very dedicated student who goes above and beyond for each project. On each work of art we've created, she has strived to be original and use her own personal photos as her inspiration, and has also challenged herself with ideas that are unique, complex, and turn out with the extra level of care and detail that sets them apart. Kali has not had an art class since middle school, and that is part of why I chose her as my artist of the month. Her work ethic is awesome, and she is an inspiration to others around her.
Kali loves running, art, the health field, and traveling. She is interested in the different cultures and languages around the world. She has many goals! She wants to travel the world doing a service year or backpacking with a purpose. She wants to get her masters degree, learn another language, and improve her social skills. She also hopes to overcome her fear of heights and skydiving! Keep up the great work, and awesome attitude!
Alysha Stuber Grade 12
Alysha is currently a member of Mrs. Wise's Senior Art class as well as doing an Independent Study in Drawing and Painting with Mrs. Wise. She has taken 2D Art, Watercolor Painting, 3D Art, 3D Art II, Ceramics I, Ceramics II, and Oil Painting during her years at KHS. She has been chosen as an October Artist of the Month because of her strong artistic skills and her dedication to developing herself as an artist. Alysha is a hard worker with a great attitude!
Alysha is interested in all forms of art, but she especially enjoys watercolor painting and working with clay. She is still deciding what she'd like to do after graduation, but no matter what she chooses to do- she will definitely continue to create art.
Outside of school, Alysha enjoys hunting, fishing, singing, and organizing things. She loves working with kids and animals and has a strong interest in architecture.

September ARTISTS
Mackenzie Retzlaff Grade: 12
Mackenzie was selected by Mr. Greeninger for his Artist of the month for September. Mackenzie is a very dedicated art student who is now in her third year of Ceramics. Mackenzie has found a passion for Art and her projects speak volumes. Most of mackenzie's ceramic projects has meaning and great skill level. The time commitment Mackenzie has put into her advance Ceramics 2 course is quite amazing. This recognition s well deserved due to Mackenzie's work ethic, artistic skills, and passion for Art!
Mackenzie is also active at Kimberly High School has participated in Golf and Soccer all four years. Mackenzie has express an interest in attending DePaul University in Chicago next year. Mr. Greeninger and the Art Department is very honored to have Mackenzie as our September Artist of the Month!

Amanjot Singh Grade: 12
Aman was selected by Mrs. Schaefer for art student of the month for September. Aman is a very hard working student, and always pushes himself as far as he can to do his best work! Rather than settle and finish a piece at a basic level to be done, he will always ask for feedback and find ways to add more creativity, depth, and detail into his artwork. Aman hopes to keep his grade point average above a 3.6 and stay focused on his work in school. He also enjoys art, listening to music, lifting, and being a part of the KHS Football Team!

Jia Chen Grade 12
Jia is currently a member of Mrs. Wise's Senior Art class. She has been chosen as a September Artist of the Month because of her attention to detail and her work ethic in creating top-level pieces. She works well with every medium she encounters and has a wonderful "can do" attitude about every project. Jia goes above and beyond requirements to produce beautiful artwork! She especially loves the anime' style and is inspired by the beautiful characters the artists create to illustrate their stories.
Besides loving art, Jia enjoys talking with her friends and playing MMO (Massively Multiplayer Online) games. She also works many hours at her job each week.
