One of the most important factors for the successful implementation of a Behavior Intervention Plan, is consistency. When implementing a Behavior Intervention Plan, it is important that all staff members carry out each section of the plan the same way. Consistency across staff members and across environments with the same materials aids in the speed of the progress a student makes toward their goals. When a member of the Behavior Intervention Team enters a classroom, one of their goals is to model different aspects of the Behavior Intervention Plan for staff members and then provide feedback as the staff member rehearses what has been modeled. There are different types of implementation documents where feedback is provided on how well portions of the plan are being carried out. This implementation is also part of what is discussed during team meetings when looking at the behavior plan and goals.
