On my mind today is summer learning. Please make sure you have a summer learning plan for your child. Whether it is a formal, organized program in the community or something a little more relaxed, it is important for some learning, practicing and reading take place. Discuss this with your child and come up with a plan together that you both find acceptable. There are also many practice workbooks available at local stores at this time of year to help your child bridge from 2nd to 3rd grade. If you feel the 2nd grade books are too easy, go up a grade or two and offer some challenge. Doing something is better than doing nothing.

I will be keeping ALL website accounts up and active for the class through the week before Labor Day. Please let me know if you need your child's password information.
