Week of 2/3

Welcome to February! The Longest, Short Month! As you can see, I am not at big fan of the month of February.

We have started Unit 7 in Math. The overall focus for the unit is Patterns and Rules. One of the areas that we will be working on is doubles and halves. We will also spend about three lessons working on collecting data and graphing it. The word Median will be revisited.

In reading we are learning about character traits and inferring. The children did a great job of stating some of my traits. I think charming, nice and loyal were a few. We are working on Informational Reports in writing. This includes note taking and planning out our report before we even start to write.

On Wednesday you will get your child's report card, as well as a list of student names for Valentine's cards. Remember your child does not have to send cards, but if they want to do one they have to do for everyone.
