Students will be given 25 points for this assignment at the beginning of each nine-week grading period.
As long as they demonstrate a willingness to make a good faith effort to be a good student in my class, their score for this grade will remain at that mark.
If, however, students fall short of that expectation on occasion, their class participation grade will be lowered accordingly (at Mr. Fromme's discretion).
The list below includes (but is not intended to represent a complete list of) some of the things that might result in the lowering of a student's Class Participation grade:
being disruptive in class
being late to class
not answering the daily bell-ringer
sleeping during class
being off task during class (including using a phone which is against school policy anyway)
talking during class/instruction
not producing a response to a My Thoughts Form exercise
refusing to participate when called upon to do so
working on assignments for other subjects during class (see this page if you have finished the day's work)
