This assignment will be turned in using Google Classroom
For this assignment, students will write a two-page academic paper (using academic voice and MLA format) in which they do ONE of the following things:
Use direct textual evidence to draw a connection between the lyrics of one song (or up to three songs) and the novel Brave New World
OR
Present a question about our society that Huxley raises in his novel and then use textual evidence to explain how Huxley himself would respond to that question.
The paper should also include a works cited page (using MLA guidelines and following this sample) including citations both for the novel as well as for any songs that are referenced in the paper. Furthermore, students should provide MLA-style in-text citations in the paper.
The works cited page does not count as one of the two pages required for this paper.
Students' papers will be assessed based using this rubric.
