This assignment will be turned in using Google Classroom
For this assignment, students will have three objectives: 1) set for themselves three realistic academic goals for the year, 2) determine at least three action steps they can take to achieve each goal, and 3) put together a well-organized document (Google Doc, Google Spreadsheet, or Google Drawing) that clearly outlines the student's goals and action steps.
Students will produce two documents for this assignment:
1. A Google doc titled "WOOP Goal Planning Template," in which students will document the results of their goal setting and planning.
2. A well-organized document (titled "WOOP Goals Maximization Plan"), in which students will clearly identify three specific goals they intend to implement to make their time spent studying for my class more efficient. Each goal should be accompanied by at least three specific obstacles and a plan to overcome them. (Your finished product that you turn in might look something like this, this, or this.) NOTE: The sample products provided here are about sports, but your plan should be specifically about ideas you have for how you're going to do well in my class based on your personal goals.
Your WOOP Goals Maximization Plan is the only thing you'll turn in, but it should include within it somewhere a link to your "WOOP Goal Planning Template" Google doc.
Students will complete their WOOP Goals Assignment in class and submit it for a 20 point grade assessed in the following manner:
a successful completion following instructions and with no organizational errors is worth 20 points
completion including minor organizational errors or failure to follow instructions is worth a 14 points
partial completion or completion with organizational errors or considerable failure to follow instructions is worth 10 points
failure to complete and/or grossly inadequate completion is worth 0 points
