We currently use a combination of FOSS and Mystery Science as our science program. The fifth grade students will explore three different areas of science. Earth Science focuses on the solar system, pendulums; and how temperature and surface area affect evaporation, as well as uneven heating of the Earth and convection currents, also focusing on the water cycle and how that relates to weather. Life Science, focusing on the structure of plants. Physical Science unit focuses on the elements and the combinations of matter.
