Birthday Policy

We love celebrating birthdays in our classroom! Students may bring a treat for the class. To ensure that everyone can celebrate, please be conscious of allergies (i.e. peanuts). Before the day of the celebration, please prearrange a time with me so that I can fit it into our daily schedule. I suggest dropping off the snack in the morning or during lunch to ensure safe arrival. Please do not send children to school with birthday invitations unless every child in the class is invited.

Test Signatures

Your child will be learning a lot in 5th grade this year! He/she will also be taking many quizzes and tests. Parent signatures will be required on major unit tests. This is to help practice open communication between you and your child, and build this relationship prior to middle school. This is also to keep you in the loop as to your child's progress in each content area so that the report card that comes home each trimester is not a surprise!
