Announces New Principal
Current GHS Assistant Principal Mrs. Rebecca Comenale has been appointed GHS Principal and will begin her new position on July 1. Mrs. Comenale is an experienced, trusted school leader who has served Glastonbury Public Schools for 25 years, including 13 years as GHS assistant principal. She believes every student deserves to be seen, supported, and challenged to learn. We’re confident that Mrs. Comenale's student-focused approach and clear vision will lead GHS into its next chapter.

Please join us in welcoming Mr. John Murdoch as the new Assistant Principal at Glastonbury High School. Mr. Murdoch has served as a history and social sciences teacher at GHS since 2004. He is described as the kind of leader who will elevate the entire school community. He begins his new position on July 1.

Our Summer Learning website provides a range of suggested activities by grade level. Summer learning comes in many forms. The site includes suggestions to help students explore, learn, and practice over the summer.
Parking Passes
Parking Passes
Seniors: Parking pass applications will be available online beginning on Wednesday, August 26, 2026 at 8 am. A link to the registration page will be available at that time on the GHS website. Seniors bring their receipt and driver's license to school to receive their parking permit. Senior permits will be distributed starting the first day of school, Wednesday, September 2nd.
Juniors: Parking pass applications will be available beginning on the first day of school Wednesday, September 2, 2026. There is no online parking application for Juniors. Paper applications will be located in the main office or at the security desk. Applications will be accepted starting Thursday, September 3, 2026. You must have a valid driver's license.
For the first day of school, juniors and seniors must park in their respective lots until parking passes are allocated.

Glastonbury High School School earned its No Place for Hate school designation through the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) in 2026. This award recognizes the organized efforts of staff, students, and their families who stand against all forms of hate.
