Local Scholarships
The Local Scholarships application period is now CLOSED.
Scholarship notification letters will be sent to students in the mail the first week of May.
Applications were due to the GHS School Counseling Office by Friday, March 8, 2024 at 2:00 pm.

Local Scholarships First Steps
1. Local Scholarship Summaries and Criteria:
First, review this Local Scholarships Summary Sheet to help in selecting appropriate scholarships. Click on individual scholarships below for detailed information.
2. How to Apply:
Most local scholarships require this GHS Scholarship Common Application. Some, however, have their own specific application. Be sure the follow the instructions for each scholarship.
Important: The GHS Scholarship Common Application can be completed by typing directly into the form. It is best to open the form using Adobe Reader (free app). If you are having any difficulty typing in the Common Application, it can also be printed and completed by hand.
The completed Common Application must be submitted in hard copy format: PRINTED, signed in ink by Parent/Guardian, and submitted via hard copy. Do not email the Common Application. It will not be accepted.
ATTENTION Students:
For each scholarship requiring a transcript or letter of recommendation, you must:
Complete the Request for Transcripts and Letters of Recommendation for Scholarships. This request should be the FIRST page of each Scholarship Application packet you return. It is best to open the Request Form using Adobe Reader (free app). If you are having any difficulty typing in the Request Form, it can also be printed and completed by hand. Please note: your college letters of recommendation will be used to fulfill the request.
Place each scholarship application in an unsealed 9 x 12 envelope addressed to the scholarship you are applying for (no postage needed). Each scholarship needs to be in its own envelope. Bring all applications to the School Counseling office. No application packages will be returned to students.
The School Counseling Office will be mailing the application package and requested material to outside organizations as needed. For the scholarships that need to be mailed outside of GHS, the envelope should be addressed using the format below so they will work with our postage machines:
