The next clinic will be held on October 2025
Once yearly DCM schedules an anesthesia vaporizer repair technician to come and perform verification checks on our isoflurane vaporizers. This ensures the vaporizers deliver the expected anesthetic gas concentration when turned to a particular setting (number).
We invite all laboratories with anesthesia machines to participate and bring their vaporizers to DCM. This also helps to share the costs most effectively (the number of vaporizers serviced will equally share travel costs).
The IACUC requires that all anesthesia vaporizers be verified AT LEAST once every 2 years; however, manufacturer recommendations are to check annually. Full cleaning and calibration, if needed, require sending the vaporizer out for service.
If you wish to participate, please bring your vaporizers to the DCM front desk before 3 PM on October. Please label them securely with your and PI names and log them onto the drop-off/pick-up sheet.
****If you will not require your vaporizer until after the verification date above, you may bring it to DCM where it will be securely stored.***
