The Freeman FBLA chapter has had an active first half to the 2015-16 school year, and it is only going to get crazier. Our officers Rachel Page and Holden Scott have reached out to the Adams community to get speakers to talk with our FBLA members about financial advice. Jenny Lempka and Julie Kealy from Adams State Bank came to speak to us about careers in Finance, identity theft, and online banking. We were also blessed to have Lisa Scott come to one of our chapter meetings and discuss the do’s and don’ts of looking for apartments. She shared with us the importance of communication and meeting deadlines. We feel blessed to live in such an involved community that invest in our future. Thank you Jenn, Julie, and Lisa!

Our students have been busy raising funds for State Leadership Conference (SLC) that will be held April 7 through 9. We have been helping with Concessions at Volleyball and Wrestling events, our students have competed in a school marketing competition selling popcorn, and our members sold Schermers Pecans. All of our fund raising activities have given us valuable customer service, marketing, business math, and communications experience. We are very thankful for all of the support we have received from our family, friends, and the community of Adams.
