Human Wellbeing
Description
The Human Wellbeing Committee formed in 2011 to help address a need to better reflect human wellbeing concerns within the Open Standards. This committee developed initial guidance in 2012 (which became an official CMP product) and updated that guidance in 2016. Over the years, the committee has developed protocols, guidance, and examples for showing how conservation contributes to / affects human wellbeing in an Open Standards framework.
Because the guidance is meant to be an evolving product, work is ongoing, though sometimes dormant between versions.
Leads: Caroline Stem (FOS), Elizabeth O'Neill (EON Consulting) - Holistic Approaches, Erica Cochrane (International Crane Foundation) - Population, Health, and Environment
