Alignement between the CS and corporate ESG frameworks

Description

Through the Conservation Standards (CS), organizations around the globe have been collaborating on the development of a common language, guidelines, and tools to tackle nature loss for more than 20 years. Several corporate Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) frameworks are currently being developed by various coalitions to increase consistency in language, process, and information between existing nature-focused and climate-related frameworks and to foster synergies between public and private sector actions.

The general purpose of this project is to create alignment between the CS and other nature-related frameworks. Alignment between nature-related frameworks can be accomplished in several ways. The most obvious one, although not necessarily the easiest one given it is so fundamental, is alignment of language. The second one is our understanding of how the world functions, or our conceptual model depicting our relationships with nature. Next, we can align the process of planning our nature-related actions. Finally, we assess how tools can support nature-related frameworks.
