Curricula
Fallsburg CSD faculty have embarked on two significant initiatives that will enhance student learning:
Creating and implementing curricular frameworks (or "articulations") that clearly align New York State Standards with lesson objectives and assessments/activities.
Implementing a gradual release model (GRM) for instruction that requires more, active student learning experiences than those in "traditional," direct-instruction classes.
Faculty will utilize conference day and other release time as professional development opportunities in support of these initiatives. Content area leaders and administrators are facilitating these sessions. Sullivan County BOCES improvement specialists and other consultants will assist in facilitation as well.
