We will meet at the Ed Brown Senior Center in the Rancho Bernardo Community Park at 8:30am and the presentation will begin at 8:45.  The Senior Center is located at 18402 West Bernardo Drive, San Diego, CA 92127, (858) 487-9324, EdBrownCenter.org.

Dr. Phil will bring a birding scope that all may share.  If you have binoculars, this is a good time to hike with them.  One of us will be asked to be the Record Keeper.  The Record Keeper will keep track of each species that we identify.  At the end of the hike, you will find yourself amazed at how many species we will have been able to observe.

The 2-mile trail is rated easy, it's a flat loop located at the edge of Lake Hodges.  Our lunch and Reflection time will take place on and around a large granite outcropping that overlooks Lake Hodges.  Bernardo Mountain will loom in the background.

After lunch and Reflection time, we will continue on the loop back to the Ed Brown Senior Center.  The optional extended hike is an easy walk to the David Kreitzer Lake Hodges Bicycle Pedestrian Bridge
