Dear Students and Teachers,
From head to toe. I like that expression because we started our challenges on our head and we're going to finish them on our toes.
This last challenge is one of balance and has three levels. Level 1: Hands on your hips, stand up high on your toes and count to ten. Level 2: Hands on your hips, one foot in the air, eyes closed, count to ten. Level 3: Hands on your hips, eyes closed, go up high on your toes and count to ten. I can do Level 1 and sometimes I can do Level 2. I've only done Level 3 twice, so I still need to practice a lot. Let's see what you can do!
I look forward to hearing from you. Please thank your families for me. I'm very happy that they helped you with the challenges, and I appreciate their effort.
Lots of hugs and kisses to you all,
Ms.Free
Dear Students and Teachers,
Can you believe that this is our fifth challenge? Wow! I’m so pleased with your videos, photos, and messages that I almost feel like we’re all together again.
“Together”? That word reminds me of “The Pickle Song”!
I’m a pickle.
You’re a pickle.
We are pickles all!
And when we get together
We sing The Pickle Song!
Pickle, pickle, pickle, pickle!
Pickle, pickle, pickle!
Pickle, pickle, pickle, pickle!
Pickle, pickle, pickle!
Music is very important, isn’t it? It touches our heart, our mind, and our soul. We can make it, listen to it, dance to it, and sing it.
This week’s challenge is a song about the seven continents. Have you studied them in school yet? Can you name all of them? Do you have a favorite continent? Is there one continent you would like to explore?
The challenge:
Level 1- Listen to the song and let us know if you like it, if you think it’s ok, or if you don’t like it.
Level 2- Sing “The Pickle Song” but use one of the continents instead of the word “pickle.” For example, “I’m Asia, you’re Asia, we’re Asia all, and when we get together we sing the Asia song! Asia, Asia....”
Level 3- Sing “The Seven Continent Song.” You can read the lyrics if you want to, or you can memorize them. That would be great!
I hope you accept the challenge. See you next week!
Hello dear students and teachers, too!
This week’s challenge is a big one. A BIG ONE. I’d like you to share your favorite possession with us. Is it a toy? A doll? A pet? A pair of trousers or a pair of shoes?
A book? A scooter? Whatever it is, please show it to us.
There are three levels to this challenge.
1. Say (or write in a message) “This is my favorite .....”. or “My favorite possession is....”
(Remember to use “These are” if it’s plural. “These are my favorite shoes.”
2. Tell us why it’s your favorite possession. For example, “My dog Sally is my favorite possesson because she loves me and I love her.”
3. Show us your favorite possession in the chant “Boom Boom!”
Snap! Clap! Stomp your feet! Move your (the possession) to the beat! Boom, boom, chicka boom, chicka boom! Boom, boom, shaboom, boom, boom!
Level 3 is the hardest level ever maybe because we have to speak and move and we may feel silly. But don’t worry. The important thing is to keep learning, no matter what level it is.
A big hug to you all, and I hope to see you next week,
Ms. Free (Joana)
