Overview of Status of Analysis, Design, Fabrication, Tests, etc.
Open loop design is complete and ready to be tested
Ready to test streaming on sponsor's network.
Accomplishments from Previous Week
Tested the new circuit design and found where in the design we needed a second power source. (thank you Pedro)
Confirmed using second power source in addition to PWM signal from Arduino. Need 12V or higher supply voltage for the power source to control 4 or more LEDs to their maximum current rating. (Detail of the test at https://docs.google.com/viewer?a=v&pid=sites&srcid=ZW5nLnVjc2QuZWR1fDE1NmItMjAxNy13aW50ZXItdGVhbTAzfGd4OjZlNDY5NTE5ZGEzYjc5MDU)
Streaming latency reduced from 1.5s to 0.2s to 0.3s by replacing VLC as streaming client with more optimized Open Broadcaster Software.
Goals for Next Week (list names after each item). Use specific and measurable objectives.
Test the open loop prototype on everyone on our team to record the basic 10% (of PWM) step size response to see if everyone has a linear response to the same stimulus. (Team)
Take measurements of the screen and surrounding area of the imager to design and build a tent to limit the light in the testing area. (To replace the folder they have taped to the screen) (Robert)
Start to design casing for circuit and hardware. (Lihua)
[Wanfang] conduct controls simulation using advice Dr. T and Pedro gave last meeting.
[Jessica] figure out how to use matlab to interface regular functions with simulink which runs arduino.

Good work so far.
Suggested a WOW factor would be to generalize the product to work on their other eye machines, which, on software vision side, would involve accounting for each machine's unique user interface.

[1/1 in-person] create a simulation for controls
there could be a wiring problem in our circuit because a calculation didnt make sense

Risks and Areas of Concern
How should we design the closed loop program if our responses to the same light levels are not linear?
Resources or Information Required but not Available
Schedule
Test open loop design on ourselves to better understand our design needs (how much variance in pupil response among people) for the closed loop program
Budget (list amount spent and amount remaining)
