Socratic Seminar Follow Up

Answer the following questions on your own paper:

1. Now that you have had the time to read and think about Gandhi and non-violence. Compose a one or two sentence argument responding to the following prompt:

Do you believe non-violence is an effective way of creating social or political change? When will it work, when won’t it work?

(note: your thesis does not have to deal with all the questions)

2. Find two or three pieces of evidence from the readings we did or that you remember from the video clips we watched and write them down under the thesis you composed above. Make sure you explain why your evidence proves your thesis.

3. Please assess your participation in yesterday’s seminar? Do you feel you participated enough? Did you listen well?

4. What did you learn yesterday? What was said that was particularly memorable to you?

5. Do you think the seminar was effective? What do you think I could to improve it next time?

You will turn this in along with your pre-seminar questions and the three highlighted and annotated readings.
