Assigned mini-interp

Prepare a short Interp to present to the class.

You can use a script from me or one you find yourself.

You should:

1. Analyze the script to figure out the main theme you would like to evoke and cut the script down so it is between 2:00 and 3:00 minutes long

2. Write a short intro that minimally tells us the name of the piece and the author and anything we need to know about what is going on in the piece.

3. Create characters (or one character). Think about how the character will deliver each line and prepare to present.

4. Practice, practice, practice…you may use a script but it is imperative that you are not reading the whole time.

5. Answer the following questions to turn in with your script when you present.

A. Why did you choose this script?

B. What theme or themes are conveyed in your cutting?

C. What is happening in your cutting?

D. For your character or characters, explain the following:

A. what is his/her goal in this cutting? (what is he/she trying to accomplish)

B. What emotions is he/she feeling?

C. What is one personality characteristic you are trying to convey for each character?
