Managed Software Centre (Munki)

Software that has been purchased or authorised by the school is available from the Managed Software Center (MSC)

This software also performs updates to any software you have installed, including Apple Updates with the exception of major version changes to OS X.

Simply launch the MSC, choose the software you want to install and click install. Sometimes depending on the software, you choose to install it requires you to click on "Updates" on the top menu bar and then click "Update ALL". It's a good idea to update your software at least once a month.

MSC also contains the printer utility for PaperCut which will install automatically after you install the munki software.

N.B. ***** Don't close your computer or let it go to sleep if it is installing updates or software *****

You still need to install the Managed Software Center (MSC) to get school-provided software.

Download the MSC installer by clicking on this link: munki-installer-s-oakflats-students.dmg

Once the file has been downloaded click on your Desktop and then Downloads or HOLD "Option" + "Command" + "L" keys and you should end up at the Downloads folder.

Right-click don't just double click it won't work, on the munki-installer-s-oakflats-students.dmg file and then click on open to install the MSC on your computer.

You need to be an Administrator of your computer to install this package.

This also means that the Apple App Store is under your control and you will use it to keep your system up to date.
