WI-FI

Many students confuse Wi-Fi with the Internet. Wi-Fi or Ethernet (not used at school) is needed to create a connection to the school LAN (Local Area Network). The school network is connected to the internet.

The Wi-Fi symbol located on the top right of the OS menu bar. It should be a dark colour on older MacOS Versions, or white on the latest MacOS Version like the ones pictured below.

If the Wi-Fi symbol is colour is grayed out (see picture below) then you are not connected to the internet and you should follow the steps below to create the connection.

To connect to the school Wi-Fi network

    1. Click on the Grey Wi-Fi logo

    2. Select CCCHS

3. Enter your details in the format like the example shown below

4. Make sure you have "student\" before your accountname, Ensure you have backslash \ found below the delete key.

5. During the Join process, you will get prompted to Verify Certificate for CCCHSRAD01.secondary.ceo.net.

6. Click 'Continue'

You might at some point get asked to authenticate with CCCHSRAD02.secondary.ceo.net if CCCHSRAD01 is too busy which is okay.

7. After clicking 'Continue', your keychain will need to be changed so you will get the following screen

8. Enter your laptop password, or use Touch ID to 'Update Settings'.

9. You should now see the Wi-Fi symbol in the top right populated.

You should now be connected to the school Wi-Fi, if for some reason you can't connect please see IT Support.
