International Thespian Festival
We will be attending the International Thespian Festival (#ThesFest) this summer. Dates are June 25 to 30, 2018.
The International Festival is about a week long and very similar to the Colorado conference. It is filled with shows and workshops for students. It all takes place at the University of Nebraska in Lincoln. Students live and eat on campus. It is open to all theatre students to attend. Those who qualified at state are the only one able to compete though. More information can be found on the web at https://www.schooltheatre.org/itf2019/home
It would be from June 24 to June 30 with a cost of about $850. That cost would include rooming, food, and the conference for the week. There will be an additional cost for transportation this year as we no longer have access to a free bus. Transportation might cost up to $200 additionally depending on how many people we have going. I will work hard to find the lowest cost. Last year we were able to keep transportation costs to just $20. The number of kids going determines the type of transportation we can take.
This is the last year the conference will be held at the University of Nebraska. It will move to Indiana University in 2020. Costs will go up next year.
If you are interested in your student going to this conference please return this form by January 16th to your theatre teacher
I would like to have a $300 non-refundable deposit submitted as well.
