In this unit, you will be designing an original character (OC). This character will be drawn in an anime style. We will start by exploring the various anime drawing styles and the visual and social culture surrounding this international phenomenon. Along the way, you will be reflecting on the different aspects of yourself as you develop your character's identity. You'll have the opportunity to practice each aspect of a character separately first. After we will select a setting for your character to respond to as we learn to animate. In the end, you will use the skills you develop to create a final drawing of your OC.
