TN Lottery Scholarships

Free Application for Federal Student Aid

Students must complete and submit a Free Application for Federal Student Aid. (FAFSA) to apply for federal student financial aid and to apply for state lottery money, as well as other college aid. In addition, certain ACT scores and grade point averages are required for certain grants. Click here to visit the FAFSA website.

Among the grants available include: (These are all based on the FAFSA).


Pell Grant,  SEOG Grants
Federal awards based on income that do not have to     be repaid.


ASPIRE Award

  • Award amount: $1,500 supplement to Tennessee HOPE Scholarship

HOPE Scholarship

  • Award Amount- $4,000 for Four- year institutions; $2,000 for two year institutions
  • Entering freshman must have minimum of 21 ACT or
  • Overall unweighted minimum 3.0 grade point average

Wilder-Naifeh Skills Grant

  • Award Amount: $2,000

  • Enroll in a certificate or diploma program at a Tennessee College of Applied Technology.

General Assembly Merit Scholarship

  • Award Amount: $1,000 supplement to Tennessee HOPE scholarship
  • Entering freshman must have a minimum 3.75 weighted GPA and 29 ACT

Tennessee HOPE Access Grant

  • Award Amount: $2,650 for four-year institutions; $1,700 for two-year institutions
  • Entering freshman must have a minimum unweighted 2.75 GPA and 18-20 ACT
