Cambria Heights Marching Band 2026 Alumni Night
All former members of the marching band, majorettes, and color guard are invited to attend Alumni Night on Friday, September 11th, held in conjunction with the annual Homecoming football game! Alumni will join current members for the pre-game performance and are invited to play pep tunes in the stands.
***Special Halftime Performance*** Since this year’s event coincides with both America's semiquincentennial (250th anniversary) and the 25th anniversary of 9/11, we are planning a truly special halftime show—and all alumni are invited to participate.
The Music: We will perform James Swearingen’s Flight of Valor, a piece depicting the heroic events of Flight 93.
Sheet Music: To comply with copyright laws, sheet music will be emailed directly to all instrumentalists upon registration.
Band Front: Majorettes and color guard members are invited to hold a special field formation during the performance. Pending rehearsal time, the front will also perform a short routine to a section of the piece.
Community Members: Because this performance is meaningful to our entire community, local band members and musicians are also welcome to join! Please forward them the sign-up form. The form allows participants to indicate whether they are attending all of Alumni Night or only the halftime performance.
Alumni Legacy Scholarship Please consider donating to the Alumni Legacy Scholarship. The Koval family generously sponsors a $1,000 scholarship in memory of their son Jason, a former CH band member. This scholarship relies 100% on donations from alumni and the Band Boosters.
How to Donate: All finances are managed through the Central PA Community Foundation. You can donate directly at Central PA Gives by selecting "Give Now" and searching for "The Kovall Foundation."
About the Award: The scholarship is awarded to a graduating senior band member based on essay submissions. You can read last year's winning essay by Anthony Swander.
Please complete the web registration form by September 4th, 2026
Feel to wear your past Alumni clothing if you wish, but if possible, I am encouraging everyone to wear Red, White, and Blue/American themed apparel for this year only. Please refrain from wearing politically charged clothing, as I want to keep the focus of the evening on the significance of the day and the music we are performing to celebrate/memorialize the event.
All alumni are responsible for providing their own working instrument/equipment, including bagpipes.
Drum line and colorguard are the exceptions. I will do my best to provide you with an instrument or equipment, but please understand that you might need to play or use something that was not your specialty in high school.
All instrumentalists will be provided with a flip folder, lyre, and music at the alumni event. If you wish to practice the music, you can download it below.

Color Guard Routine:
Friday, September 11th
3:30pm: brief outside rehearsal for pre-game
(Please don't arrive to the high school prior to 3pm. If you are here before the students dismiss, you will need to run your driver's license through our system and get a visitor's badge. Plus, parking will be much easier after the students leave for the day. We will use the time between 3-3:30 to make sure everyone has what they need.)
4:00pm: rehearse "Flight of Valor"
5:00pm: dinner (provided by Hoss's Ebensburg)
6pm: line up for our march to the stadium
6:30pm: pregame performance
*If you are unable to make the practice due to work, you can still arrive later and participate.
