All students will learn and perform a well-balanced and varied selection of chorale literature, and by doing so, each student will also have the opportunity to become more proficient with his or her own voice. This will take place in an inviting classroom atmosphere for all students, regardless of ability level. The primary focus of the course will be to promote creativity, discipline, and excellence through music, all valuable skills for students to have as they enter into a 21st century global economy. It is my sincere belief that music and the benefits of studying it are a necessary component of the educational process for all students, not just those who society has deemed “naturally talented”. The opportunity to audition for PMEA and County Music Festivals will be made available for those students who want a more challenging musical experience.
Students enrolled in Chorus are invited to try out for County, Regional, and State Choir.
