This year I really enjoyed learning new skills and interpreting them into making different projects. We used some skills that we learned last year and new skills from this year and combined them to create different projects. This year we had some more freedom to be creative with our projects and create different designs for example, we choose two different types of checkers, and we chose the pattern, and with operation boards we chose the type of design we wanted for the boards, and we all worked at different paces but just had to complete the project by a certain time, which I liked.
I really enjoyed the hands on projects like the operation boards and building rockets made Kerbal a more interesting activity. I did not enjoy fly to learn and Kerbal itself as much because they were not very "involved". It was really interesting to watch how everyone interpreted and did the rocket and operations games differently. I was fun to watch everyone launch their rockets outside. I really enjoyed learning new skills like casting and molding in order to create new projects.
I learned new skills such as casting and molding and to using the laser cutter which will help me moving forward into high school. Working with these new skills and experimenting with different websites such as polar 3d and tinker cad vs. 123 design was an involved way to decide what was best for me. I am excited to continue engineering going on in hight school and continue my knowledge of new skills. Overall I liked the hands on projects and overall enjoyed engineering this year.
