To continue on working on my project from the fall of making LEDs blink to music, I realized that I needed a new adapter because I was unable to connect my phone to the arduino and the LED strip and therefore, I was unable to make the LEDs blink to music. I had to wait for this part for a little while, but once I received it, I was able to test and see if my project would work, for the first time. Once I attempted to verify my code to the arduino, I received another setback and the code was not verifying and I had to find the problem in my code. After looking throughout my entire code, I realized that the reason one of my variables was undefined was because I had a spelling error. Once I corrected this error, I was finally able to test and see ifme project works. Once I downloaded the code, nothing happened. Therefore, I had to check the wiring in my arduino and make sure everything was correctly connected to either the ground or a digital or analog pin, and I have kept looking for mistakes in my setup of the arduino because there is many wires and if one wire is wrong, then the code and my project won't work. I also had to re-solder two of my wires connected to the arduino to the audio jack. I also used electrical tape to secure the wires that were connected to the LED strip. I still have to find the problem, because my project still does not work, but I will continue working on my project.
(adapter piece for project)
(project wiring setup)
(audio jack that was soldered to wires again)
(electrical tape was added to these wires and the LED strip)
(ino code for project under engineering design 1 and engineering design 1 project and it is inside the google drive folder in the section of my portfolio)
