In engineering class we created a Greek temple using Sketchup, a 3-d printing devise. We used tools on Sketchup, like the push-pull to make objects 3-d, the measurement tool to create exact measurements in different shape, the rectangle and circle tool to create perfect rectangles and circles, the eraser tool to erase extra lines, the offset tool to create rounded or pointed edges on a flat surface. Lastly, the component tool that we used to copy the columns. First we created two rectangles one on top of the other, one slightly smaller than the other and gave them exact measurements. Next, we created two steps on the "Greek temple." Then, we created columns and made a component of them in order to make the columns faster. Then we added a roof to the temple, and I designed it to be a triangle. Then we customized it, and I customized it by adding color and a smiley face. I learned a better understanding of the program Sketchup, what a component is, and how to use tools like push and pull.
