MISSION STATEMENT
Our mission is to provide college students and other members of the community with a foundation in the study of culture, language, and linguistic structures of the Spanish language. We provide students with tools to communicate and understand Spanish. In addition, we strive to teach every student the cultural aspects of the countries where Spanish is spoken, including geography, history, customs, traditions, and literature. Mastery of the Spanish language will enable every student to achieve personal, educational, and professional goals.
OUR GOALS
Provide students with a wide variety of tools to develop oral and written communication skills in Spanish.
Offer a natural and real-life environment in the classroom through active learning and project-based activities.
Enforce each of the five learning skills: listening, reading, writing and speaking.
Follow an instruction mode with a communicative approach in mind.
Utilize the latest technology in language instruction to facilitate the learning process.
Create a respectful, safe and welcoming classroom environment.
