Mrs. Michaelis

English 7, AVID 7, and Psychology Elective

7th English A-Day: 3/6-3/10

No Reading Homework: There is no more reading homework for the year. That being said, I encourage you to help keep your child reading. Reading regularly, as a habit, is linked to higher test scores, greater performance at school, and even greater empathy for others. I hope that my students will become life-long readers.

Library Books Returned: All library books, school-issued or borrowed from me, need to be returned as soon as possible. All books can be returned to me and I can make sure that they end up where they belong.

Weekly Update: This week, we will continue to work on reading and analyzing The Giver. This week, we will focus on chapters 19 and 20.

Tuesday: We will start with a quick write. After, students will read and answer comprehension and analysis questions about chapter 19 of The Giver.

Thursday: We will start with vocabulary related to chapter 20. Then, we will read and answer comprehension and analysis questions about chapter 20 of The Giver.
