Dates: 8/21-8/28
7th English A-Day: 8/21-8/24
This is just a reminder that I am Mrs. Michaelis, your child's English teacher. (Or, you are receiving this email by mistake!) Each week I try to send home an email that outlines what we are doing in class, any due dates, or other important class information. If you find these emails to be a bit too much, please let me know and I can remove your email from the distribution list.
Please keep in mind that these emails provide an outline, but that the actual class may deviate from the original plan. The most up-to-date due dates will always be posted in Google Classroom.
Weekly Update: This week, we will be reading and analyzing the short story All Summer in a Day. We will be analyzing how the setting of the story impacts the plot, characters, and theme. Students will have a quiz next week on theme on Wednesday the 30th.
Tuesday: In class, we will complete a quick write. Then, we will do an all-class read of the story All Summer in a Day. After, students will answer questions about vocabulary and reading comprehension.
