Announcements

Here's a quick view of what's going on at Broadmeadow! For information on what's going on in Needham, check out the Community News.

SPREAD CHEER WITH HANDMADE VALENTINES

Looking for a way to spread cheer this Valentine’s Day? We’ve got you covered! The PTC will be collecting handmade valentines for the residents of the Wingate nursing home and for Beth Israel Deaconess Needham healthcare workers. This is a chance for all Broadmeadow students to get creative by submitting cards, notes, and/or drawings.

Students should bring their creations to school and place them in the boxes located on the PTC table (across from the Media Center entrance) from February 1st through February 10th. There will be one box for Wingate and one for BI. To help keep everyone healthy, please use stickers to seal envelopes (rather than licking) and don't include any food or candy.

For questions, please email Lynne Devaney, Aly Donohue, Carrie Leto, and Rhonda Silva at outreach@broadmeadowptc.org.

JOIN IN WINTER WALK, BIKE & ROLL TO SCHOOL DAY

These boots are made for walking and that's just what they'll do on Wednesday, February 1st! Join students around Massachusetts for the coolest Walk, Bike & Roll to School Day of the year. Start your child's day off with some fresh air, a little exercise, and a sense of community!

Walkers will receive a sticker and get to sign a poster that will be displayed in the school lobby. Limited safety swag will be available for early birds. Students who roll to school on a bus will be given an opportunity to participate before heading to class.

We are looking for a few volunteers from 8 - 8:20am on Wednesday to give out stickers and help kids sign posters. Please email Maggie Shapiro at wellness@broadmeadowptc.org to volunteer.
