DEADLINE EXTENDED: End of Year Staff Gift Fund by Tomorrow, June 12

The End-of-Year Staff Gift Fund is the perfect way to show appreciation to our Broadmeadow teachers and staff who do so much for the students and families in our community! 

As a service to parents, the PTC pools all donations to the Staff Gift Fund and will distribute Amazon gift cards and handwritten thank you notes to ALL Broadmeadow teachers and staff.

Participation is easy and appreciated, and your contribution is tax deductible! 

We are collecting donations via:

-Venmo: You can send money to the Broadmeadow PTC Venmo account (@BroadmeadowPTC). Please note "Staff Fund" in the memo line.

-Cash or check: Send in cash or a check (made out to Broadmeadow PTC) in an envelope labeled "PTC" in your student's backpack.

The deadline for participation is Friday, June 12!

Positions included in the End-of-Year Broadmeadow Staff Gift Fund:

-Full and Part-Time Classroom Teachers and Teaching Assistants

-Specialists: Art, Media, Music, PE, Spanish, Technology

-Student Support Staff: Adaptive PE, ELL, Guidance, Literacy Specialists, Math Specialists, Occupational Therapy, Psychologist, Special Education Staff, Speech/Language, SLC Staff

-Administrative Staff: Cafeteria Staff, Custodians, Nurses, Office Staff

Please note that NEDP staff and the school crossing guard are not part of this Fund because they are not Broadmeadow employees.

Check Lost & Found Before School Ends 

Our final Lost & Found display of the school year will be available Monday, June 15 through Thursday, June 18 (there is no school on Friday, June 19).

 Please stop by or encourage your child to take a look for any missing items.

All unclaimed belongings will be donated after June 18.

A big thank you to our Volunteer Coordinators, Colleen Carey and Katie Espinola, for organizing the display and helping reunite lost items with their owners!

Keep Seed City Growing All Summer Long

The vegetables our students planted need a little care this summer and we need your help!

We're looking for Broadmeadow families to sign up for a week (or more!) to help care for Seed City while school is out. A little watering and weeding will help ensure the garden is thriving when students return in the fall, ready to harvest and enjoy the vegetables they planted themselves.

During your week, your family can spend time exploring the garden, enjoying the beautiful flowers, and visiting the new Little Library nestled within Seed City.

No gardening experience is necessary. We'll show you around and provide everything you need to know. Thank you for helping our school garden grow!

Help Make the Magic Happen

The Broadmeadow PTC is looking for volunteers to help with some of the behind-the-scenes efforts that happen throughout the year. All the incredible PTC events and programs only happen because parent volunteers step up to make the magic happen.

Below are a few of our current volunteer needs, but they are just a sample of the many ways to get involved. If you're interested in volunteering but don't see the right fit, we'd still love to hear from you!

Current Volunteer Opportunities

*IIOC Campaign Coordinator (Late Summer/Early Fall | 1 Opening) — Have strong written communication skills and enjoy working with data? Partner with a co-chair to help run the PTC's annual Invest in Our Children (IIOC) fundraising campaign in September. Responsibilities include updating campaign materials and email communications and tracking donations.

*Directory Committee (Late Summer–Fall | 2–3 Openings) — Are you detail-oriented and comfortable working with data? Join an experienced team of volunteers to help produce the Broadmeadow Family Directory, a resource prized by many school families.

*Canva Specialist (Year-Round | 1–2 Openings) — Have a knack for Canva? Help create flyers, graphics, monthly calendars, thank-you posts, and other materials for the PTC's newsletter, emails, and social media.

*Social Media Coordinator (Year-Round | 1 Opening) — Comfortable using social media and following a posting schedule? Help manage the PTC's social media accounts using content provided by committees. No graphic design experience is required.

*Technology Coordinator (Year-Round | 1–2 Openings) — Familiar with websites, Google Drive, or email groups? Help maintain the PTC website, update email groups, and keep the PTC's digital resources organized and up to date.
