Walk, Bike, Roll to School on Wed. February 4th
Join students from Broadmeadow, throughout Needham, and around Massachusetts on Wednesday, February 4 for Winter Walk, Bike, & Roll to School Day. Start a new habit, meet new neighbors, and enjoy the outdoors, rain, shine, or hopefully SNOW!
All students can receive a sticker and sign a poster that will be displayed in the school lobby. There will be posters located at K/1 Breezeway, Grade 2 Rear Door and the Main Entry for ALL students to sign.
Active commuting to school has been shown to increase academic (and work) performance, improve mental health, reduce stress, and help children meet physical activity guidelines.
We could use some extra help to distribute stickers. If you can assist, have questions, or want tips on outfitting your child's bike for the winter, please email Tim Bulger at wellness@broadmeadowptc.org.

Join our Ice Skating Party on Sunday Feb. 8th
Lace up your skates and join the Broadmeadow community for an ice skating party on Sunday, February 8 from 11:00am - 12:00pm at the Babson Skating Center located at 150 Great Plain Avenue, Wellesley. Students and parents/guardians are welcome to skate.
This event is for the Broadmeadow Community and is sponsored by the PTC. The costs for skating and skate rentals* are included in this sponsorship!
Babson's capacity is approximately 200, so we need to cap participation at that number. Please secure your spot by signing up here.
*Note: Babson has approximately 100 pairs of skates, so if you need to rent, please plan to arrive early. This is NOT a drop-off event.

Spread Cheer to Wingate and BI Healthcare Heroes
Looking for a way to spread cheer this Valentine’s Day? The PTC will be collecting handmade Valentines for the residents of the Wingate Nursing Home and Beth Israel Deaconess Needham Healthcare Workers.
This is a chance for all Broadmeadow students to be creative and submit cards, notes, and/or drawings.
Students should drop their creations at school in the boxes located on the PTC table inside the front door from January 26 through February 12. There will be two boxes, one for Wingate and one for BI.
Thank you for helping us spread kindness and brighten someone’s day. Your cards will bring a smile to these hardworking healthcare heroes and the senior citizens at Wingate.
Questions? Email Thérèse Provenzano & Lauren Leonard at outreach@broadmeadowptc.org.
