Creepy Crawly Village Task

Competency: I will independently use the four operations with whole numbers to solve problems to demonstrate my understanding of factors, multiples, and a variety of models/strategies to divide multi-digit dividends.

Task:

1. Students will research insects and arachnids.

2. Students will create a bug zoo that meets specific requirements for the total amount of legs in the zoo.

3. Students will use the four operations with whole numbers to solve for the specific requirements (ex: total number of legs = 100).

4. Students will be expected to prove their thinking using mathematical vocabulary and equations.
