Google Chrome is the web browser developed by Google and is the preferred browser for Blair Academy.
Chrome allows you to browse the internet, install extensions for added functionality, and stay synced across devices using your Google account.

Keeping Chrome up to date ensures you have the latest security updates and features.
On your computer, open Chrome.
At the top right, select More > Help > About Google Chrome.
Select Relaunch.
If you can't find the “Relaunch” option, you're on the latest version.
Another way to update Chrome is to cut and paste this URL into your browser: chrome://settings/help

Go Back / Forward:
Use the Back ← or Forward → buttons at the top-left of the browser.
You can also right-click the back/forward button to see your browsing history for that tab.
Open a New Tab:
Click the + icon next to the last tab.
Or press Ctrl + T (Windows) / Cmd + T (Mac).
Open a New Window:
Use the menu (⋮) > New Window or press Ctrl + N / Cmd + N.
Reopen Closed Tab:
Right-click on the tab bar and choose Reopen closed tab.
Or press Ctrl + Shift + T / Cmd + Shift + T.
Turning on Sync in Chrome keeps your bookmarks, passwords, history, and settings connected across all your devices.
If you reset or lose a device, your Chrome data is backed up to your Google account.
Your open tabs and browsing history are synced, so you can pick up on one device where you left off on another.
Click your profile icon (top right corner).
Look for a message like “Sync is on” or “Turn on sync.”
If it's off, click the message and sign in with your Google account to enable syncing of bookmarks, history, passwords, etc.
Click the three dots (⋮) > Settings.
Or type chrome://settings/ in the address bar and press Enter.
Bookmark a page: Click the ⭐ icon in the address bar or press Ctrl + D / Cmd + D.
View bookmarks: Press Ctrl + Shift + B / Cmd + Shift + B to show the bookmark bar, or go to Settings > Bookmarks.
Go to chrome://settings/passwords or:
Click (⋮) > Settings > Autofill > Passwords
View, delete, or export saved passwords.
Click (⋮) > Settings > Privacy and security > Clear browsing data
Choose time range and data types (e.g., cached images, cookies, history).
