This has been a busy week for all classes. However, many classes did different activities because their performance practice time varied quite a bit.
There has been competition in our upper grades classes about the songs we have been practicing. I began using my iPad to video tape their singing practices to share with other classes. Students enjoy watching themselves and they were also able to use the clips to help them perform better. I was hoping to play the video through the Apple TV immediately after the recording but the technology did not work out. I will communicate with IT to solve the tech issues as soon as possible so the kids can enjoy themselves on the big screen!
Many classes started the hand project. We are adding cut-outs of our hands and are adding them to our big dragon. This is our pledge to build our community together and always remember to do our best work. The visiting SEL consultants who visited our school on Thursday really liked the mural and what it means to our kids individually. I hope all the parents can come and take a look of our results during our parent-teacher conference week if not sooner.
