We did this activity all the way through 6th grade during our virtual class time. Older students were able to put a little bit more detail into the activity as we discussed landmarks and compass roses. They were also encouraged to make the map for a family member to travel, add more rooms, or change to a treasure map.
Lots of possibilities with this activity!
