The AHS Library is open from 8:00am to 4:30pm on Mondays through Fridays.
Students are welcome to visit the AHS Library before school, after school, and during their free periods.
Books circulate to students for 28 days at a time, and renewals are allowed as long as nobody else has requested the item. Students may borrow videos overnight and magazines for one week.
If you are wondering how many items you can borrow at one time, you are our kind of people and we should talk.
We are excited to share that the AHS Library website has been recognized with the MSLA Virtual Influencer award, which was originally awarded in 2022 and renewed in 2023 and 2024.
From the original press release:
When Stacy Kitsis redesigned the Arlington High School Library website, she created a high quality site that would inform, educate, and support students, staff, and families in the Arlington community. The new site provides user-friendly information about how to access the library’s resources, programs, services, and physical space, as well as general instruction on information literacy skills including the research process. Previously awarded the MSLA Super Librarian Award, Stacy Kitsis has been the librarian at Arlington High School since 2011. Prior to becoming a librarian, she taught English at Arlington High School.
Be sure to check out all the MSLA Awards to see the awesome work being done by school librarians across the state of Massachusetts!
