The nominees for this year's Massachusetts Teen Choice Book Award have just been announced.
The MTCBA is the only award in the Bay State that invites students in grades 7-12 to select their top new books of the year. The list of nominees has been curated by a committee of public librarians, school library teachers, and educators. Teens are invited to read the titles starting now and vote for their favorite books in September!
Great news about news! The Minuteman Library Network now provides all resident cardholders of member libraries access to The Boston Globe with 72-hour access passes to Globe.com.
To get a pass, you need to create a free account via this link. After three days, come back and click the link and register again to regain access. A limited number of passes is issued each day. Guest passes are also available through Boston Public Library using the same process.
Includes all current Boston Globe content, including puzzles, games, the Globe Magazine, and podcasts/videos; Boston Globe Archive articles back to 1872; and access to the Globe E-Paper.
All AHS students and staff also have access to print edition of The Boston Globe via our library database collection.
Did you know that many universities have entire libraries dedicated just to music? And that “music librarian” is an actual career?
Come meet Sandi-Jo Malmon, Librarian for Collection Development at Harvard University's Loeb Music Library, and get a behind-the-scenes look at what she does every day. From rare scores to research support, you’ll discover how music and information come together in surprising ways.
Bring your questions and your appetite! We’ll have time for Q&A and snacks.
Whether you’re into music, research, or exploring unique career paths, you’ll leave with something new.
