Who's ready for summer reading? Your AHS Library, that's who!
Do I have a summer reading assignment?
See Summer Reading and AP Assignments and ELA Summer Reading on the AHS website to see what your summer reading requirements may be. Most English classes and many Advanced Placement classes do assign books or other work over the break.
Can I get my summer reading books from the AHS Library?
Extra copies of assigned texts are available throughout the summer on Sora. See our guide to E-Books & Audiobooks to get started.
We have limited copies of summer reading books in print at the AHS Library. Check the AHS Library Catalog for availability. We make these generally available in the fall so students can refresh their memories for assessments, but if you need to borrow something over the summer, come talk to us.
Books for the AP Biology reading assignment are available for summer checkout.
Where else can I get my summer reading books?
Robbins Library also purchases extra copies of AHS summer reading books. Check the Minuteman Catalog for availability. If you prefer to own your own copy to mark up, etc, the Book Rack is a great local option.
Please contact us with any questions or special needs. Happy reading and have a great summer!
Stop by the Robbins Library to join their fun Summer Reading program and "Unearth a Story"!

Summer reading at Robbins will kick off on June 13 and run through August 21, and you can join at any time over the summer. Happy reading!
Not sure what to read over break? Check out the new MTCBA Nominees!
The Massachusetts Teen Choice Book Award is is the only award in the Bay State that invites students in grades 7-12 to select YOUR top new books of the year. The list of 21 nominees was curated by a committee of public librarians, school library media specialists, and educators. Teens are invited to read the titles this spring and summer and vote for their favorite books in September.
The books are available through Sora and at your AHS Library.
Which will YOU read first?
Even over the summer, the AHS Library is happy to provide personalized book recommendations.
