Students visiting the lab during the school day must have a pass from their classroom teacher. Only blue intervention passes are accepted for computer or Media Center use during intervention time. The walk-in lab may not be used during Advisory time except by special permission from the Media Center staff.

Circulation Information

    • Students may check out up to 5 items at a time for a two-week period.
    • Students with lost materials will be fined for the replacement value of the lost item(s). Students showing checked out books on their record at the end of their senior year will not be allowed to attend the graduation ceremony.
    • Approximately twice each term, students receive notification of missing materials in their advisories.
    • Materials may be requested by asking for a hold at the circulation desk. Holds expire three weeks from the day they are placed.

  • We love to have adult volunteers help in the Media Center on a weekly basis, with tasks such as shelving books. If you are interested, please contact the Media Specialist or Volunteer Manager Betty Hennen at 763-569-7600.

Standards. District 279 Secondary Media Centers follow the academic standards of the American Association of School Librarians when providing instructional content.
