• Plan a search strategy
• Select potentially useful resources
• Identify and record relevant information

Process (assess and organize) information:

• Analyze, categorize, sort and structure information
• Validate new information (Accurate? Objective? Reliable?)
• Integrate new and existing information and/or draw conclusions

Communicate information:

• Create an original product
• TRADITIONAL: written, visual, oral, etc.
• TECHNOLOGY: word processing, web page, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.
• Present the information to the intended audience
