US History 1

Students will focus on important concepts, events, and trends in United States history from 1865, the expansion of the west through 1919, the First World War. Students will analyze significant events and their ramifications or effects through primary sources, visual media, art, lyrics, political cartoons and maps. A main theme of this course is manifest destiny within the country and the United States' colonization worldwide.
